CHSS is one of Scotland's leading medical charities and is determined to deliver stronger, longer lives for people in Scotland affected by chest and heart illness and by stroke through medical research, information provision, advice and support in the community and through evidence-based policy and influence. The aim of the Stroke Nurse is to facilitate a smooth transition from hospital back into the community for people who have had a stroke and their families, through the provision of information, advice and support. This position complements the stroke services provided by the NHS and is funded on a recurring basis through a partnership agreement with NHS Highland. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with the ability to work on his or her own initiative. Candidates must have a first level general nursing qualification and four years post-registration experience in either a hospital or community setting. Car is essential. Experience working with people affected by stroke is desirable. This post is subject to member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups scheme.
