Advertisement Details Shetland College has a vacancy for a part time Lecturer in our Community Learning section based in the North Mainland of Shetland. The post is based in Brae but teaching and other duties may be carried out in other appropriate venues. Preparation and development will be undertaken where required. The post holder will work independently in their area but also as part of a team of community-based lecturers within the wider structure of Shetland College. The Individual The main duties of the post are:- - To prepare, teach and assess core skills, digital media and other courses as appropriate; - To provide study skills support to students undertaking open or online learning at FE and HE level; - To provide first line guidance and counselling to students; - To keep learning centre and related equipment secure and report and maintenance needs.
