Maintaining the rail network is a huge job. Our Works Delivery teams are up to the challenge. Across everything from signalling and track to electrification, they keep the network and its assets working safely and reliably. With clear, supportive and engaging management, they are at the heart of our vision for engineering and operating excellence.

Directing a team to deliver maintenance and project works, you will be a hands-on champion of organisation, quality, performance and ' in everything you do ' safety.

In this key role, you will manage and direct a Works Delivery team to deliver a range of maintenance and project works, including inspections and renewals. Driving the achievement of business goals and performance measures, you will champion the very highest standards. In particular, you will be responsible for the safety of everyone on site ' a responsibility you'll take extremely seriously.


You'll play a hands-on role ' engaging the team, developing individuals and checking the quality of work. You'll manage the preparation of work specifications and plans, and the deployment of resources. What's more, you'll identify and implement improvement initiatives spanning everything from safety and asset performance, through to reliability, productivity and efficiency.

This role involves days, nights and weekend working, and is a safety critical role so subject to drug and alcohol testing and passing of the relevant medical assessment.

This role is for a 6 month fixed term contract


Salary: £39,200
