Division of Public Health and Health Strategy Western Isles Health Board, 37 South Beach Street, Stornoway, HS1 2BN PROGRAMME MANAGER (MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES REDESIGN) Band 6 - £26,565 - £35,577 plus Distant Islands Allowance £975 37.5 hours per week – 1 year Fixed Term An exciting opportunity has arisen for an appropriately qualified and skilled individual to lead key elements of the redesign of mental health services. NHS Western Isles, working with its statutory and third sector partners, is changing the ways in which mental health services deliver for the people of the Western Isles. Based on the principles of recovery and with a strong community focus, the mental health services redesign is one of the key deliverables for the Western Isles Health and Social care Strategic Plan. Based in the Division of Public Health and Health Strategy and reporting to the Director of Public Health, the postholder will liaise closely with the Associate Director of Mental Health and Learning Disabilities in progressing the project plan for the multiagency redesign of adult mental health and dementia provision in the Western Isles. The postholder will be educated to degree level with experience of managing change in mental health environments, and require excellent communication and negotiation skills to work with a wide range of stakeholders to develop and plan for the implementation of modern sustainable mental health services.
