Job Description The Outer Hebrides is a lively and challenging place where community matters. Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified and experienced educational psychologists, to contribute to the work of the Educational Psychology Service (EPS) in relation to children and young people aged 0-24 across the Outer Hebrides. Practice takes place in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Education and Children’s Services department and within relevant statutory frameworks. You will provide a consultative and advisory service to groups of schools, to parents, Education Service Management, other agencies and to children and young people across the authority area. You will undertake casework in context, advising on the developmental and educational needs of individuals with the aim of supporting joint intervention strategies and undertake project work concerning in-service education and policy and practice development at school, Service and Authority levels with a view to promoting systematic and preventative approaches. Requirements The salary for the post will be in accordance with current regulations plus £1,998 distant islands allowance. A generous relocation package is available.
