Job Description Based in Stornoway, you will lead the management of the Western Isles Early Years Collaborative programme in line with the Scottish Government’s Early Years Framework, the national Stretch Aims and local Strategic Priorities. Duties include: supporting and facilitating workstream groups by providing tailored training to ensure the development, testing and enactment of new systems and processes; organising and facilitating local learning sessions and other training events as required; liaising with the Scottish Government on a regular basis in relation to the work of the Collaborative and the implementation of the Scottish Government Stretch Aims; representing the Outer Hebrides Community Partnership at key local and national forums in relation to the work of the Collaborative; implementing a communication strategy to ensure Collaborative members and the community are kept up-to-date with the programme. Requirements You must be educated to Degree level OR have substantial proven experience in a relevant field of work. You must have: knowledge of relevant national and local strategies, policies and initiatives, eg GIRFEC and Early Years Framework; experience in the delivery of services to children and families; proven experience of interagency and partnership working; excellent communication and organisational skills; the ability to develop measurement and reporting systems; the ability to develop constructive working relationships with a wide range of partners; a current driving licence and access to a vehicle. Fixed term contract for one year. Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade.
