You will deliver training and employability support to unemployed adults and adults with additional support needs in partnership with the Adult Learning, Hebridean Independent Living and Learning Service (HILLS) and Outer Hebrides Managing Employability, Education and Training (OHMEET) teams. Duties include: conducting initial interviews and assessments with new service users; developing individual training plans; delivering vocational and basic skills training; liaising with local employers to arrange work placements.Requirements
You should: be educated to Degree level or equivalent OR have proven relevant experience; have training and/or experience in delivering employability learning and/or carrying out vocational profiling and job coaching; have training and/or experience in working with adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and mental health problems. You must have knowledge of core skills and prevocational qualifications, excellent facilitation/coaching/group work skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with service users from a variety of backgrounds. A current driving licence is essential.
Appointment to the post will be for the duration of the maternity leave of the current postholder.
Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.
