Occupational Therapist – Intermediate Care Team (Ref: IRC9221)
Band 6 – Salary Range £26,565 - £35,577 per annum
Full time 37.5 hours per week
An exciting opportunity to provide an Occupational Therapy service in a unique location with unique challenges. The Intermediate Care Team provides rehabilitation and reablement to the population of the Shetland Islands aged 18 and over, with the main bulk of the caseload being older people with a variety of conditions, which can include straight forward to the more complex cases e.g. Parkinson's Disease, Neurological conditions, Orthopaedic conditions, Dementia, Falls, Palliative care. The post holder will work primarily within the community in client's homes and in care homes, and occasionally in the hospital, involved with in-patients and out-patients.
HCPC registered, you will hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy and a minimum of 3 years clinical experience with a highly developed understanding of Occupational Therapy. In addition you will need to be able to demonstrate experience of assessing and developing Occupational Therapy graded rehabilitation programs for clients in a variety of settings.
