Environmental Project Manager / Environmental Advisor
Fixed Term Contract - 9-12 months
Salary £26,500 - £40,000 depending on skills and experience.

As Environmental Advisor you will support the Environmental Project Manager (s) in ensuring that all environmental legal, regulatory and consenting requirements and obligations are fully considered, assessed and implemented throughout the optioneering, development, consenting, execution, commissioning and operational phases of each project.
You will help develop external stakeholder relationships with particular emphasis on statutory authorities and key consultees, and to work with other functional teams to advise on all necessary statutory consent requirements. You will support the Environmental Project Manager to develop strategies to secure, monitor and control the consents and the consenting process, with emphasis on s37, planning permissions, and ancillary consenting (e.g. CAR, species licensing, waste management).
You will work with and assist the Environmental Project Manager with the production of development and executions phase environmental documentation including (but not limited to) governance plans, contract specifications, routeing reports, the screening/scoping requests, environmental statements.
You will undertake project environmental audits and surveys, identifying corrective actions necessary to ensure compliance with legislation, consent conditions and environmental commitments.
To be successful in this role will have an environmental or environmental planning related degree. You will have experience in the utility industry with a broad knowledge of a number of different environmental disciplines, including ecology, archaeology and earth science and industry good practice. You will have knowledge of environmental planning processes and excellent organisational skills with a flexible attitude to work.
