MEDICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
SALARIED GENERAL PRACTITIONER AND REGIONAL UNDERGRADUATE TUTOR
15 SESSIONS PER WEEK (SHARED BY TWO POST HOLDERS)
FIXED TERM – 12 MONTH PERIOD
Applications are invited for a Salaried General Practitioner(s) and Regional Undergraduate Tutor(s) to work at total of 15 sessions per week (1.5 WTE) for a fixed-term 12 month period shared by two post holders. This role will require the post holder(s) to be on the GMC list of recognised trainers.
This post of Salaried General Practitioner will be expected to work across various locations that include the Medical Education Department in Inverness and GP surgeries where NHS Highland is providing support.
Applicants should have a passion for general practice and some experience in Medical Education. Applicants must be eligible to be on the GP Performers list in Highland, continuous registration with the GMC with a licence to practice and successful participation in a Continuous Professional Development scheme will be required. The scope of work covers the broad range of modern Medical Education in combination with some clinical duties. Although based in Inverness, travel to other NHS Highland sites will be required.
You will have a role in developing new primary care settings for the delivery of undergraduate medical education; supporting existing providers and encouraging practices to return to delivering undergraduate medical education in Highland. Selecting from the portfolio options offered by Highland, your role will combine teaching duties, clinical work and activities to develop educational capacity.
