Early Years Practitioner (Ref: ORK01375)
35 hours per week, term-time
£19,353 – £20,977 / £21,579 - £23,660 (including Distant Islands Allowance)
We are looking for a qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our existing team in the above Early Learning and Childcare setting. This will include working in a session and supporting the lunchtime for children aged 3 and 4 years.
To be appointed at G5:
You should have a good general standard of education including literacy and numeracy AND you must achieve an HNC in Early Education and Child Care, SVQ Level 3 Social Services (Children & Young People) or other recognised qualification that enables registration with the SSSC as a Practitioner (Day Care of Children) within 3 years of taking up post. You must also register with the SSSC, within 6 months of appointment to the post, as a Practitioner in Day Care of Children.
To be appointed at G6:
You should hold a recognised qualification that enables registration with the SSSC as a Practitioner (Day of Children) e.g. HNC in Early Education and Child Care or SVQ Level 3 Social Services (Children & Young People). You must also register with the SSSC as a Practitioner (Day Care of Children), or where new to employment as a Practitioner in Day Care of Children, register within 6 months of taking up post.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
