POST: REGIONAL CLINICAL LEAD, CARDIAC SERVICES (D/PS/165/16) BASE: NORTH OF SCOTLAND THIS ADVERT IS FOR A SINGLE POST AND IS REPLICATED ON SHOW UNDER ALL NORTH OF SCOTLAND HEALTH BOARDS We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Clinical Lead for the Cardiac Regional Managed Clinical Network in the North of Scotland. The North of Scotland Cardiac Network is collaboration between 5 Health Boards in the North (excludes Western Isles). The Network covers all aspects of Cardiac Surgery and Cardiology as well as the Regional Cardiac Thoracic Service and Regional Electrophysiology Service, both hosted by Grampian. Applicants will be clinical leaders with extensive skills and experience in the provision of cardiac services. Presently operating at a senior level within your clinical team, you will have exhibited leadership potential during your clinical work to date. Applications from all clinical professionals (medical, nursing, AHP) are encouraged. The successful post-holder will have the knowledge and skills to credibly champion the cause of the speciality across the North. The ability to work across traditional Health Board boundaries and organisations is essential, as is the ability to manage change within a complex environment. The appointment will be for a period of two years. It is anticipated that the commitment required would amount to between one and two sessions (4 – 8 hours) per week, which will be confirmed prior to appointment.
