Community Health & Social Care Partnership Stornoway Health Centre, Springfield Road, Stornoway, HS1 2PS TRAINEE SCHOOL NURSE Development Post/Annex U Post Band 5/6 (Trainee Banding Band 5 £22,218 – £28,746 pro rata/Full Banding Band 6 £26,565 – 35,577 pro rata) plus £975 Distant Islands Allowance 37.5 hours per week - permanent post This exciting opportunity has arisen within the School Nursing Team which provides a school nursing service to the Western Isles. The successful applicant must be educated to degree level, willing to undertake a Postgraduate Diploma in Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) – School Nursing run by University of West of Scotland commencing January 2017 on a full time basis. This post is advertised as a trainee position under ANNEX U paragraph 2 (i). Whilst studying you will be paid within the band 5 salary range and upon confirmation of successful completion you will move to the role of band 6 School Nurse. Applications are invited from Current band 5 first level registered nurses who wish to develop their career further in this specialist role. The Western Isles offer a safe and pleasant environment to live in with easy access to cultural, sporting and leisure activities. There are daily travel connections to the mainland via air and ferry. Applicants must be car owners and in possession of a full UK driving licence. This post is not eligible for relocation expenses.
