West Highland College UHI is looking to recruit a RYA Chief Instructor and RYA Trainer to be responsible for the operation of the RYA Centre in Mallaig, in conjunction with the RYA Centre Principal and to deliver RYA training courses.
The successful candidate will hold relevant RYA Instructor qualifications and have a good knowledge of Marine Health and Safety.
Experience of maritime, teaching and instructing at an RYA Centre are all essential for this role.
Pay will be on our teaching salary scale T3-5 £23,891 - £27,211 per annum (pro-rata), with placement dependent on teaching qualifications
This is a part-time, permanent post
The RYA Chief Instructor role is based on an anticipated 24 hours per annum, spread throughout the year.
The RYA Trainer role will be more ad-hoc and flexible, dependant on number of courses delivered.
