Job Description Dunblane High School is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the existing excellent Pupil Support Team as a Welfare Support Worker. The post holder will work closely with the Pupil Support Team to identify and support young people who might need support to ensure that they are able to access learning and participate fully in the life of Dunblane High School. Responsibilities will include: To contribute to raising achievement and helping in the general supervision, safety, care and well being of the child, by supporting the learning process, in liaison with the Pupil Support Team. Working with individuals, families and others to support improvements in school attendance Visiting homes of pupils Transporting pupils to/from school where attendance is poor Advise schools, agencies etc on reasons for absence and actions required to improve attendance This post is temporary from August 2017 until June 2018 and subject to external Pupil Equity Funding. It is term time, part time and therefore the salary will be pro rata. Requirements The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children.
