Job Description Leisure & Culture Dundee is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC042421. It was established by Dundee City Council in July 2011 to deliver leisure, sports, library, information and cultural services for the city. www.leisureandculturedundee.com As part of a dynamic Leisure and Sport Section, you will promote the wide variety of free activities on offer with the ParkLives programme across Dundee. ParkLives aims to encourage people to get outdoors and enjoy their local parks and green spaces. You will assist in the design and delivery of the programme. ParkLives is a partnership between Coca Cola Great Britain, Dundee City Council and Leisure and Culture Dundee. You will be engaging and motivating to all ages and abilities. This is a fixed term post until 30th September 2017. Requirements You will have an HNC Fitness Health & Exercise/Event Management/Advertisement and Public Relations or equivalent Responsibilities As part of a dynamic Leisure and Sport Section, you will promote the wide variety of free activities on offer with the ParkLives programme across Dundee. ParkLives is a partnership between Coca Cola Great Britain, Dundee City Council and Leisure and Culture Dundee. You will be engaging and motivating to all ages and abilities. The Individual You are required to have experience of working with children, families and youths and also working with community groups and other agencies. You must have excellent Organisational skills. You will have the ability to monitor and evaluate outcomes of work and develop and maintain appropriate relationships, with colleagues and other partner agencies. You should be flexible and imaginative in your approach. You should be IT literate and have experience of organising events/festivals. You should be Innovative to generate ideas and be responsive to new thinking. You should be enthusiastic and motivated and have the ability to communicate effectively with both adults and children. You should have the ability to work on your own initiative and be willing to undertake training and development. You will hold a full UK driving licence (Level 3) and will be willing to work evenings and weekends. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and / or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
