Job Description Based at Dudhope Castle, you will work full time, 37 hours per week, fixed term for 12 months. You must be aged 29 or under, have graduated from any institution (including those outside the Dundee boundary) within the last 3 years, or will graduate this year, 2017 and you must live within the Dundee boundary. Please Note: As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to complete an online behavioural questionnaire. This questionnaire measures how you would think or behave in the job role and your profile results will be matched against pre-determined criteria established for the job role. Requirements You will be educated to Degree level in a relevant subject (eg IT, Business, Marketing, Media, Social Policy). Responsibilities You will undertake a 12 month work experience placement to assist the Family Placement Teams within Dundee City Council’s Children and Families Service. You will co-ordinate and develop a Marketing and Community Engagement strategy that will raise the profile of Foster Care and Adoption in Dundee and that through this, more people in Dundee will consider these roles. Through undertaking this important role, you will contribute to the Children and Families Service Plan, make a meaningful contribution to the future of vulnerable children in Dundee whilst also gaining useful work experience and greater enhance your employment prospects related to your degree studies. The Individual You will have experience of collaborative working, be able to communicate effectively through a variety of methods, including oral and written, produce well written reports, and have IT skills, including experience of Microsoft packages. You will also be able to work on your own initiative, as required, able to work as part of a team, with attention to detail and accuracy and be committed to Equality and Diversity.
