Job Description Based at Mitchell Street Centre, you will work part time, 15 hours per week. Requirements You will have a relevant Degree or SVQ equivalent in Youth Work. Responsibilities You will work as part of a team supporting the delivery of the department's community learning and development opportunities. You will assist young people to acquire the knowledge, skills and self-confidence to participate in groups and in the community and contribute positively to their development as adults. The Individual You will have experience of working with young people in a variety of settings and an understanding of their current issues and concerns. You will have team working, advocacy, record keeping and youth work skills and be able to motivate young people. A commitment to ongoing professional development and to the values/principles of Youth Work are also essential. You will be able to work evenings and weekends. This post is considered Regulate Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
