£24327 - £26623 per annum (£12.61 - £13.80 per hour) - LEVEL 1, GRADE 7
£27009 - £30481 per annum (£14.00 - £15.80 per hour) - LEVEL 2, GRADE 8

5/7 days following a rota and shift pattern
Working pattern will include weekend working

To assist in the management of the Residential Unit and contribute to the development and delivery of a high quality service to older people requiring residential care, in accordance with the values and principles of the National Care Standards, and within the policies and procedures of the Council.

Essential for Level 2 (Grade 8): HNC and SVQ3 in Social Care and be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through previous experience.
Essential for Level 1 (Grade 7): SVQ2 in Social Care and be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through previous experience.
SSSC registration, or agreement to register within 6 months from the date of appointment to this post, is essential.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
