As part of the Community Resources team working within East Renfrewshire, you will ensure the physical, social and emotional needs of individuals are met by providing high quality care and support to older adults living within East Renfrewshire. You will undertake a wide range of tasks and responsibilities in order to meet the assessed outcomes of individuals and their carers.
You must have experience of working with older adults and have patience, sensitivity and an understanding of the support needs of people with Dementia. You must have good communication skills, be a good team worker and be able to use your own initiative. You will also have a caring nature and be enthusiastic, reliable and flexible. Experience in working within a residential nursing or day care environment particularly those associated with older adults with Dementia.
While no formal qualifications are required for this post, having a SVQ 2 in Social Care would be beneficial. You will be required to undertake any training necessary for the post. As such, you must be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop.
The successful candidates will be required to be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or be eligible for registration from commencement of employment.
