Part Time: 17.5 hours per week
Main Location: Sighthill Campus
Temporary form 14 August 2017 until 29 June 2018
Salary: Band D £20,640 - £22,162 (please note the appointment is usually made at the first point in the salary scale)
The Childhood and Health team at Edinburgh College requires a part time Workplace Co-ordinator to join our very busy team. This post will be based at Sighthill campus and is planned for Monday Tuesday and Wednesday (1/2 day) – please note that the ability to travel between campuses for team meeting and quality activities is essential.
The successful applicant is required to:-
Liaise with the Childhood team in organising and monitoring students' industrial placements.
Continue our relationship with current placement providers and identify new opportunities as appropriate.
Create and maintain workplace data bases across Childhood Practice placement providers.
Maintain quality checks to include of Health & Safety, workplace registration and PVG.
Contact placements (to include visits) as required.
Liaise with other team members across our campuses.
It is essential that applicants will be educated to at least HNC level or equivalent in a business or relevant vocational related subject area, and that applicants hold an IOSH certificate in workplace assessment or an equivalent qualification and/or experience. It is essential that applicants have knowledge and experience of electronic data management information systems and that applicants have knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Applicants should be familiar with handling students, clients or customers and students, clients or customers data.
Being able to travel between campuses and to external workplace providers is essential.
The successful candidate may be required to work at any Edinburgh College campus.
