Advert Based at Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley. The Customer Service Advisor will work as part of the Council Tax Team providing high quality, customer focused service and solutions across Council Tax through a variety of communication channels including telephone and electronic methods. You will assess and respond to customer telephone enquiries; resolve requests and enquiries to agreed standards by providing relevant information and advice as required; provide a complete and comprehensive customer service experience by ensuring that information is recorded efficiently and accurately on all required systems at the first point of contact and ensure that the progress of enquiries is logged and tracked effectively through to resolution and closure and to ensure that relevant updates are provided to customers. It is essential that you have experience of; working in a clerical or customer service role that provides a telephone, electronic and face to face service to internal and external customers; working in a team environment; using common IT systems /packages including databases and Microsoft office; have effective communication & IT Skills with the ability to maintain and record information on electronic systems or databases; resolve problems with a flexible approach; prioritise and work to deadlines/targets and have a responsible approach to confidential data and information. It is desirable that you have an SVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Administration or Customer Service with experience of working in a Local Authority and experience of Customer Relationship Management systems. If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
