The postholder will work towards a Degree / Post Grad in Community Learning and Development (achievability, 4 years). Qualification level will be agreed with the successful candidate.
You will work as part of the Western Isles team of Community learning and Development Workers delivering Community Learning services, in partnership with other agencies. To take Comhairle wide responsibility for acting as lead worker in some aspect(s) of Community Learning and Development practice through the medium of Gàidhlig. You will participate in an accredited training programme that will enable you to work within a team to support the everyday provision of Community Learning and Development services in the community.Requirements
You must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking Gaelic and have qualifications which would enable entry to a degree / post graduate level course in Community Learning and Development plus Higher English and Gaelic.
Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. A supplement will be paid, where applicable, to take account of age-related National Minimum Wage Regulations.
