You will provide care and support to service users and their families within their own homes to manage aspects of daily living, allowing service users to live independently, and promoting their rights, autonomy and choices.
We require 3 Home Care Responders to cover the Banchory area.
The working pattern will be 18 hours per week working evenings between 5pm and 10pm, days worked on a rotational basis.
Working to the priorities of the National Care Standards - Care at Home, and within the policies and procedures of Aberdeenshire Council, you will get real opportunities from a varied and rewarding role.
Although no professional qualification is required, you must be willing and prepared to undertake an SVQ in Social Care.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
This post is regulated work with or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where applicable, this post also requires an Overseas Criminal Record Check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
