What is the role?
To provide a laundry service and to ensure that the laundry and establishment are cleaned to a high standard and in doing so make sure that Infection Control systems are in place at all times and that service users rights and choices are maintained at all times.

The Grade of this post is Grade 1 / Level 3, the hourly rate is £7.96 to £8.69 and the annual salary is £6,641 to £7,250.
Please note that South Ayrshire Council has agreed to the implementation of the Living Wage for its workforce with effect from 1 April 2013. This means that from that date the minimum hourly rate for South Ayrshire Council employees will be £8.33 and, as this post which currently attracts an hourly rate of less than £8.33, the difference will be paid to the post holder as a pay supplement, which will be clearly identified within their payslip. The supplement will decrease in direct proportion to any increase in basic pay; and will be subject to ongoing review and may be amended or removed at a future date.
This post is considered to be Regulated Work with protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
