Job Description Based in Dundee House, you will work full time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Requirements You will be a Registered Architect with RIAS or RIBA Chartered Status and have a Bachelor of Architecture (Honours) / Master's Degree in Architecture or equivalent. Responsibilities You will provide an architectural design and construction consultancy service to the Council and its service departments and to external public agencies, as directed by the Head of Design & Property/City Engineer or Architectural Services Manager. You will provide a high quality, flexible and responsive service to ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to meet the quality and operational requirements of the client department. You will be responsible for the effective and efficient management and development of a Team which carries out a wide range of architectural design and construction consultancy services as well as contributing to the statutory functions of the Council as required in accordance with appropriate legislation. The Individual You will have relevant experience of the design and implementation of architectural/building construction projects and project management, including budgeting processes. You will also have experience of partnering, management of projects and staff, JCT forms of contract, CDM/Risk Assessments, and be able to manage external consultants undertaking duties. In addition, you will be computer literate, design and construction software, spreadsheets, contract management, design packages, able to lead project teams, have high level communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, up to date knowledge of technical standards in architectural design and construction, be able to prioritise workload, coach and develop staff and the capacity to assist in management of the Division. You will be able to undertake site visits and surveys, including working at height and adjacent to watercourses and have a flexible approach to working hours and to work unsociable hours if required.
