Based at Civic Square in Motherwell, you will be part of a team whose remit is to develop and maintain the Council's ICT infrastructure and systems so as to meet the needs of our customers and deliver excellent services to them by making the best use of technology.
With an SVQ4, HND or a general degree in an ICT related subject or equivalent and PRINCE2 Foundation level, you will have significant work experience of ICT systems implementation and of managing major ICT projects through the full development life cycle.
You will also have significant experience of working within a structured project management environment, including Quality Management and Project Planning and have extended supervisory and staff management experience.
Ideally you will have experience in the implementation of large scale ICT systems which encompass all aspects of ICT, and experience in the procurement of third party business packages/solutions. Knowledge of business process re-engineering is also desirable.
You will have the ability to successfully undertake new tasks, communicate at all levels and have good team working, interpersonal and customer facing skills. You will be confident, articulate, self motivated and professional with a flexible approach to work. You will also be enthusiastic with the drive to deliver improvements.
