Grade: 9A
Hourly Rate: £17.57 - £19.21
Salary: £32,075.07 - £35,068.07 per annum
Contract Duration: Temporary until 30 June 2018

Role Purpose

We are seeking to recruit a temporary Information Manager to lead the Council's preparation for the implementation of the GDPR. The successful candidate will be asked to scope and lead a project working with a range of Officers across the Council to ensure that SBC is well placed to comply with the Regulations by 25th May 2018.

The successful candidate will play a role in generally advising on Information Management policy and strategy, and will participate in relevant SBC projects, but the principal focus will be the GDPR project.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and influence a public body's approach to a significant new piece of law and to work with a range of professionals across the diverse functions of a local authority in doing so. You will hold a degree level qualification in information management or an equivalent discipline, or will have relevant equivalent experience. You will also have a strong understanding of the GDPR requirements.
