This is a part-time job worked flexibly for 23.3 hours per week. The Coordinator works with a colleague providing support to clients and their carers giving general support with organising outings, either singly or in groups in order to maintain and improve our clients quality of life. Help with medical appointments, dealing with other agencies and occasional support with accompanied shopping are part of the job. The cordinator workes closely with the NHS Community Mental Health Team who are the gatekeepers and contract holders for our service.
The job is based in St Vincents Hospital, Kingussie and both staff use their own cars for work. Car and Mileage allowances are paid monthly. Laptop computer and mobile phone are supplied.
The post holder should have a qualification in Health or Social Care equivalent to S/NVQ level 3 or above, preferrably be registered with the SSSC and must become PVG disclosed. A full driving licence is essential. A desire and ability to relate to and help older adults with memory problems is important.
