Catering Services within Resources Directorate of Midlothian Council operates a Catering Service within Primary and Secondary Schools across Midlothian.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic, highly motivated people who would like to have a career with Catering Services to join our team.
We have several vacancies within our service with hours ranging from 8 to 16 hours per week.
These vacancies are normally Monday to Friday, The positions we have in schools are working 38 weeks per year during school term.
You will be required to assist the Catering Supervisor in the day to day operational requirements of the kitchen including basic food preparation, serving of all foods, cleaning, and maintenance and checking of equipment.
The duties of this job does not include any supervisory responsibility but does require to assist and give guidance to new staff.
Previous experience of working in a catering environment would be advantageous, however, training will be given on all tasks.
