Based at Highbank Care Home, Eskbank, Dalkeith, you will assist the Cook in the provision of meals for the home, be responsible for kitchen cleaning duties and serve evening meals. This includes simple food preparation.
You must have experience of food production within a catering unit and a sound knowledge of health and safety practices within a kitchen environment. The REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable
The knowledge for the post is acquired through either on or off the job training and experience.
Once in post the Jobholder is required to gain the elementary food hygiene certificate.

Based on you working 19.50 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £9,127.07 per annum.
