Qualified Salary: £20165-£22081 per annum pro rata (SVQ 2 essential)
Unqualified Salary: £17866-£19581 per annum pro rata
Temporary part time position for 2 years
14 hours per week following a 4 week rota as follows:
Wk 1 Mon 7.00 -14.30 Wed 14.00 - 21.30
Wk 2 Sat 14.00 -21.30 Sun 07.00 -14.30
Wk 3 Tue 14.00 -21.30 Thu 07.00 -14.30
Wk 4 Sat 07.00 - 14.30 Sun 14.00 -21.30

To assist in the provision of personal care and support to older people requiring residential care, in accordance with the values and principles of the National Care Standards, and within the policies and procedures of the Council.

SVQ2 in Social Care and/or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through previous experience.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
