To assist the Team Leader (Residential Services) in providing high quality care for children and young people and to ensure the safe and effective running of a children's house. To provide clear support, supervision and direction to a team of residential staff helping them to deliver positive outcomes and to enable each child and young person to achieve their full potential.
The Post Holder will be based within our Children's House in Ayr and will work directly with the Team Leader for Residential Services to provide and manage a homely nurturing environment where our young people are encouraged and supported to achieve their full potential. You should hold full qualifications which will enable you to meet the requirements stipulated by Scottish Social Services Council for Residential Care. Previous managerial experience , in a residential or community setting which focuses on the needs of children, young people and their families is essential. You will support and lead a staff team to deliver excellent standards of care in a responsive and person centred manner to ensure our young people's emotional , social and physical needs are met. In keeping with The Nurture Principles you will ensure staff are able to work alongside young people who may present with complex and challenging behaviours in an effort to equip them to resolve and manage past trauma and events.
