Administrative Assistant

35 hours per week
Temporary maternity cover for a period up to 31 March 2018
£18,112 – £19,097 (including Distant Islands Allowance)

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our established team which provides all aspects of clerical and administrative support within the school. You will be required to undertake a wide variety of duties within this demanding environment.

Previous experience in general administrative and reception duties, dealing with the public, Microsoft Office packages, and management database systems is essential.

You must be highly motivated and have a flexible and positive approach to all aspects of work.

Your communication and organisational skills must be of the highest standard as you will be required to work on your own initiative and as part of a team liaising with the public, the pupils, the staff and parents. You should be able to uphold the highest levels of confidentiality.

Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and precision will also be some of your main strengths as these qualities are crucial within this role.

You should hold an SVQ 3/HNC or equivalent level qualification in an administration or business related subject.
