Job Description

Contract Type: Temporary until 29 June 2018

Working Pattern: Week 1: Monday and Tuesday, 7.2 hours per day. Wednesday 3.6 hours per day/ Week 2: Thursday 3.6 hours per day, Friday and Saturday 7.2 hours per day.

Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.33 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.


Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.


To allocate, co-ordinate and monitor the work of general clerical service staff, acting as a focal point for clerical staff, whilst also taking responsibility for the operation of the financial systems including DSM and Imprest account.

The Individual

It is essential that you have an HNC qualification or equivalent level, excellent IT skills and moderate experience within an educational or administration environment.

You should have a working knowledge of financial and administrative systems and possess excellent organisational and communication skills.
