Salary: £8,725 - £21,189 - Salary placing will be 35% in year 1 (£8,725), 50% in year 2, 70% in year 3 and 85% in year 4

A Modern Apprenticeship is a work-based training programme that leads to an industry approved qualification. The training can be both on and off-the-job, which means Modern Apprentices (MAs) learn the right mix of skills, abilities and knowledge.
You will work under supervision on all aspects of repair and maintenance of all Parks, Streets & Open Spaces plant and machinery.Requirements
These vacancies are restricted to applicants who currently live in Fife. You must also be aged between 16 and 24 as at the 31st July 2017.
Applicants should have achieved or be expecting to achieve by August 2017: a minimum 3 Standard Grades at general level 3/4, to include English and Maths OR 3 Intermediate 1's, to include Maths and English OR equivalent Core Skills at SCQF level 4 OR 3 National 4s, to include English and Maths.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to achieve SVQ level 3 (SCQF Level 6). You may be required to travel out with Fife to attend College to achieve this qualification. Previous experience can be considered as equivalent see SCQF Framework www.scqf.org.uk/framework-diagram.
Applicants will be required to pass a job related Theory and Practical test prior to interview.Responsibilities
You will be working under the direct instruction of a craftsman, or alone, to develop the skills and knowledge for the chosen trade whilst demonstrating an enthusiasm and willingness to achieve a high degree of competence.The Individual
