Tremanna is an award winning Children's Home who care for five children and young people from 11 to 21 years of age. Aftercare support is also provided to young people who have moved on.
Tremanna's philosophy is that relationships matter and young people are included in all aspects of their care.
Tremanna has been awarded the prestigious INVESTING IN CHILDREN AWARD, the first Children's Home in Scotland to do so.
They have also developed their own philosophy of care with the young people who have named it the T MODEL.
As a member of the residential team you will be responsible for the provision, maintenance and development of a supportive, caring, nurturing environment in which the physical and emotional needs of the children are paramount. You will have key worker responsibility and your role includes writing reports and attending meetings, reviews and Children's Hearings. You will have responsibility for ensuring the progression of the children's care plans.
You must have the ability to be mobile across the Council area.
You will be required to work a range of shifts, including public holiday working, weekends and evening shifts.
You must be able to register unconditionally with SSSC as a Residential Child Care Worker. Minimum qualifications are HNC social Care and SVQ level 3. See SSSC web-site for further information on relevant qualifications.
Demonstrable evidence of working with young people who have experienced trauma and/or who have been looked after away from home.
