You will undertake a range of management tasks, providing leadership to staff and also undertake a range of care tasks.
Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.33 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.Requirements
Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain PVG Scheme Membership through Disclosure Scotland, in addition to which you will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council.
An HNC in Social Care or equivalent or an SVQ Level II/III (Direct Care/Promoting Independence/Health and Social Care) are essential.Responsibilities
You will contribute to the assessment care, planning and review of individuals receiving a service.
You will also be supporting service users to participate in social/recreational activities, maintain contact with family, friends and community and promote culture in which service users are encouraged to maintain independence.The Individual
You will have previous relevant experience.
In order to safely carry out the activities outlined above the ability to comfortably kneel on beds and floors and be able to rise without difficulty is essential.
