The post holder will report to the Team Manager and give line management support to a team of staff providing sport and leisure opportunities and maintaining facilities for the local community, including school students.
The Team Leader will have a key role in ensuring quality in all aspects of the Customer and Community Service, the health and safety of users and the management and development of the Fauldhouse Pool team.
Other responsibilities include maintenance inspections of the complex and its equipment, managing all aspects of pool plant and water testing and treatment, inside and outside areas, administrative duties, liaison with school and council staff and departments and staff training.
The skills and experience you must have are:National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. Pool Plant Operators Certificate Supervisory and facility management experience Experience of duties and responsibilities associated with swimming pool operations including pool plant Experience of delivering staff training Knowledge and experience of teaching swimming and/or sports coaching Experience of working face to face with members of the public and encouraging and developing their use of a sports complex.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
