Job Description

To assist Lighting Managers/Officers/Technicians/Lighting Operations, who are responsible for the development, installation, maintenance and monitoring of the City's street lighting network to meet service targets and comply with electrical technical standards. An HNC / ONC / SVQ qualification in Electrical Engineering and/or Approved Electrician status and/or Electrician with a valid ECS Certificate is essential. You must have a good working knowledge of the current 17th Edition Wiring Regulations, Technical Standards and Codes of Practice in electrical distribution. 

Good communication/organisational skills and a current driving licence are essential. City and Guilds Electrical Testing and Inspection certificate preferred but not essential. This position is an ideal opportunity for Electrical Graduates to develop their career or electricians wishing to transfer into a more technical field.

There are both permanent and temporary posts available, the temporary posts are for a period up to August 2018.
