Applications are invited from suitably qualified Educational Psychologists for a temporary post.
You will be joining an innovative service which offers:

You must have an honours degree in Psychology, a relevant post-graduate qualification in Educational Psychology. You should be eligible for registration with the Health Professions Council.
The service is accredited by the Scottish Division of Educational Psychology to provide supervision for Probationer Educational Psychologists looking to secure the Award in Educational Psychology.
The Educational Psychologist is required to carry out the duties of his/her post as directed by the Principal Educational Psychologist and Educational Psychology Service practice guidelines. The Educational Psychologist shall carry out these duties in accordance with statutory legislation and the policies and procedures laid down by the education authority. The Educational Psychologist shall work within the aims and objectives formulated for the service by the Principal Educational Psychologist in collaboration with the team of Educational Psychologists.

Satisfactory completion of a Postgraduate degree in Educational Psychology
Eligibility for registration with the Health Professions Council.
Full current driving licence and access to a vehicle (* see Job Outline/Person Spec).
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
