West Lothian Council Adult Learning Team is looking to recruit a Senior Adult Learning Worker to support the co-ordination and quality assurance of Adult Learning Delivery.
The key duties of this post are:Taking the lead responsibility for an area of delivery. Taking a lead role in coordinating one of nine local Learning Community Partnerships. Developing positive partnership working across a range of agencies. Line managing and supporting members of the Adult Learning Team. Playing an active role in quality assurance of the service.
The skills and experience you must have:Educated to degree level or equivalent. In receipt of an internal verifier’s award or willingness to work towards Experience of supervising staff and/or volunteers Experience of co-ordinating projects and managing funds A working knowledge of social practice model of delivery Able to work on own initiative Excellent communication skills A pro-active team player Good time management skills Confident use of information technology
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
