12 hrs per week, Fixed Term for 12 months, salary pro rata

West Lothian Council Adult Learning Team is looking to recruit a Lipreading Development Worker to coordinate and deliver lipreading learning to adults with hearing loss

The key duties of this post are:

Making an initial assessment of the needs of new learners and organising an appropriate placement. Delivering high quality lipreading teaching and learning.Participating in quality assurance including providing support and feedback to sessional tutors

The skills and experience you must have:

Scottish Course to Train Tutors of Lipreading or equivalent qualification You will be expected to bring a theoretical knowledge of lipreading. He/she will be expected to have practical expertise of delivering lipreading. The postholder will have a strong working knowledge of communication support for adults with hearing loss You will be expected to operate on his/her own initiative and to take responsibility for key priorities within the Service's development plan.
