0.6FTE Research Assistant (temporary until 31 March 2018)
Salary Scale - £10.22-£11.54 an hour
Location – Beckford Street, Hamilton.
Applications for the above post in South Lanarkshire Council Psychological Services are invited from candidates with a 1st class or upper 2nd class honours degree in psychology (essential requirement). This temporary position would provide excellent experience and opportunity for a researcher with interest in key Scottish Government agendas including the promotion of children and young people’s mental health and well-being through prevention and early intervention. The post has been established as a result of specific funding until March 2018. Candidates must have experience of a wide range of research methods and be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders involved with the service, including professionals, parents/carers, and children/young people.
As well as an honours degree in psychology recognised by the British Psychological Society, candidates appointed must have the ability to travel extensively throughout South Lanarkshire. Applications are welcomed from those interested in pursuing future training as an educational psychologist or other applied fields of psychology.

Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children.
Successful candidates will require PVG Scheme membership for Regulated Work with Children.
