A Modern Apprenticeship is a work-based training programme that leads to an industry approved qualification in this case SVQ2 Business & Administration. The training can be both on and off-the-job, which means Modern Apprentices (MAs) learn the right mix of skills, abilities and knowledge.
The MA will provide an efficient, effective and confidential records management service involving the maintenance, retention and disposal of personnel records in compliance with good practice and relevant legislation (including Freedom of Information and Data Protection).Requirements
These vacancies are restricted to applicants who currently live in Fife. You must also be aged between 16 and 24 as at 31 August 2017.
You should have a minimum 3 Standard Grades at general level 3/4, to include English and Maths OR 3 Intermediate 1, to include English and Maths OR equivalent Core Skills at SCQF level 4 OR 3 National 4, to include English and Maths.

Under supervision providing a comprehensive records management support service using electronic systems and processes including:Maintain accurate filing and recording systems for personnel files. Scan paper records, index and save accurately using SharePoint; working towards all personnel files being held electronically. Retrieve and report information from files as necessary. Maintain individual personnel files adhering to the document retention schedule. Maintain and record leavers files for archive ensuring correct destruction dates are noted. Ensure confidentiality is maintained complying with Council policies and relevant legislation. The Individual
The applicant should have experience of filing and records management, including retention, indexing, removal, archiving and destruction. The records are sensitive so confidentiality awareness is essential as well as excellent organisational skills. Good communication skills and the ability to interpret and understand instructions is also essential. The applicant should be able to work as part of a team or on their own as required. The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines is desirable.
