This is an exciting development opportunity for a motivated and positive candidate with a customer service focus to participate in the development of modern Employment and Reward Service within Human Resources. You will be supported to contribute to the provision of an operational and advisory Reward & Employment Service, focussing on a particular area of service delivery. Once trained you will be able to progress and provide appropriate advice and guidance on the interpretation and application of the full range of Employment and Reward policies and procedures in order to respond to employees, managers, prospective employees and legislative change.
Consideration will be given to candidates who can demonstrate competence across a range of employment and reward activities, support will be given through a development plan to achieve the required qualifications within an agreed timescale. In addition, you must be competent in the use and application of Windows based software and demonstrable experience of data input or system administrative duties using a corporate system would be ideal.
You should also be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, an awareness of the importance of contractual documentation, an attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload and to work to tight deadlines.

The Salary Placing will depend on qualifications and experience as per the development scheme below:
Entry Level, Annual Salary - Entry Requirements
Grade 2, £18,202.47 - No HR/Payroll Experience and no specific HR or Payroll Qualifications.
Grade 3, £19,310.77 - Either demonstrable HR and/or Payroll experience.
Grade 4, £20,494.22 - Either an HR or Payroll specific qualification with limited HR/Payroll experience
Grade 5, £22,015.79 - Holds both HR & Payroll specific qualifications or equivalent level qualification in a relevant discipline with previous experience in a HR/Payroll environment.
Compliance with the mandatory Cabinet Office PSN (Public Sector Network) Code of Connection requires the Council to meet a baseline personal security standard. This requires completion of a basic/standard/enhanced disclosure check for all employees who can access official information. The fee for this PSN Disclosure check is £25 and the successful candidate will be required to re-pay to the Council the fee through payroll deduction.Additional Information
