Job Description

You have experience of managing architectural projects and have a good working knowledge of AutoCAD. As well as having an HNC in Building or a BSc in Architectural Technology you have working knowledge of statutory consent applications, CDM regulations and you have the ability to travel within Aberdeenshire. A working knowledge of Excel, Word and CAD is desirable.

Aberdeenshire Council's Architecture Section has a significant and varied workload across a wide range of project scales and clients groups. You will be required to provide a full range of Architectural services under the supervision of the Principal Architect, including the preparation and provision of design proposals. technical drawings and associated information.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where applicable, this post also requires an Overseas Criminal Record Check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
