Job Description


This one year Modern Apprenticeship is based at Dundee House, 50 North Lindsay Street, and you will work full time, 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

The Modern Apprentice Scheme is focused to target high youth unemployment in the Dundee Area and the funding for training is only available for candidates aged 16 to 19. Please ensure, if you are applying for a Modern Apprentice post, that you are between the ages of 16 to 19. You will be asked to bring proof of age with you if you are invited for an interview.

This Project is part funded by the European Structural Funds. You will be solely involved in European Social Fund activities (ie spend 100% of your contracted hours on the ESF project only and undertake no other non-ESF project related duties.


You will have 1 Higher in English and 3 National 5s, or equivalent, and must be prepared to undertake and complete a qualification in Digital Creative Media.


You will support the effective engagement of Big Lottery ESF eligible participants and stakeholders using a range of new media.

You will work with Big Lottery Fund/ESF staff and stakeholders to create relevant, responsive and engaging digital/social content.

The Individual

You will have knowledge and/or experience of online information and communication tools such as social networking, video streaming, podcasts, etc, and knowledge and/or experience of working with information systems, databases, websites, including uploading and maintaining information.

You will also have knowledge of and interest in current digital and social media trends, be competent with Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms, have good verbal and written communication skills, good organisational skills and be able to work as part of a team as well as work on your own initiative.

You will have enthusiasm and commitment towards completing full Modern Apprenticeship and achieving the Diploma in Creative & Digital Media SVQ L3 @ scqf level 7.

The ability to work occasional evenings and weekends is also essential.
