Advert Based at the Russell Institute in Paisley, Invest in Renfrewshire Employability Service is looking for an experienced employability adviser to provide a Client Management function to customers of the Council’s busy Employability Service. Target groups include young people (16 – 29 years); recipients of Employment Support Allowance (all age); young people leaving care or who are looked after or accommodated (LAAC) by the Council; and members of workless households and those affected by homelessness (all age). Working as part of an existing multi-disciplinary team you will be responsible for supporting an active caseload of clients from one or more groups and to progress them through all stages of the Employability Pipeline to secure and sustain a positive economic outcome. You will be required to register eligible clients, conduct initial assessment and develop individualised actions plans commensurate with the appropriate Stage of the pipeline. You will have substantial experience of working with unemployed people of all ages with multiple barriers to employment; to deliver activity on a one to one basis and in group settings and engage effectively with unemployed groups and partner organisations alike. A SVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline; Youth Work, Social Care, Economic or Community Development is essential or considerable relevant experience at an appropriate level. Knowledge of Welfare Benefits and of current employability policy and practice as well as Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team and of electronic Management Information Systems is desirable. Post is part funded through the 2014 – 2020 Lowland and Uplands European Structural and Investment Funds and is temporary to 30 September 2018 If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
