Grade: 8A
Hourly Rate: £14.70 - £16.04
Salary: £26,837.33 - £29,282.82 per annum
Contract Duration: Temporary until 30 June 2018

Role Purpose

The Domestic Abuse Advocate will work directly with victims of domestic abuse who are involved in the court system and support victims to gain access effective court support. The advocate will be required to conduct robust risk assessments and prepare solid safety plans, and prepare court reports. Effective engagement with victims and stakeholders such as court staff, procurator fiscal service is essential, as is information sharing and accurate report writing. The advocate will be required to be confident in presenting reports in a court setting and have well developed advocacy skills.

Essential

Professional qualification in a related field, such as social work, education, health, criminal justice, housing or probation studies, and/or equivalent level/range of experience.
